Hugues Sineux

Hugues is a classically trained Parisian artist and muralist, with over 25 years of experience. His incredible forte is painting with a three dimensions style, "Trompe L' Oeil" or "trick the eye" - using realistic imagery to create an optical illusion. 

 

Throughout his career, Hugues has gained a loyal following and has been represented by Moulton Galleries since 2015. We wish he had time to provide more work, but understand that Hugues also contributes his time to completing large Murals for walls in schools (as well as other outdoor venues). As well as completing a large amount of restoration work in Cathedrals and old buildings in France.

 

Now being based in Sydney, Australia (since 2011) Moulton Galleries Founder and Creative Director, Marcia Moulton, was fortunate enough to be able to commission from Hugues Sineux a Trompe L'Oeil for her courtyard several years ago. Everyday Marcia says, "I find myself looking upon Hugues work with more admiration as time goes on - it also makes the space look larger than it is and spectacularly unique".

Hugues say's his desire in his pieces is to, "create works that leave a lasting impact on the lived experience of each space".
